Custom Picture Framing
17 YEARS IN BEAUTIFUL FREELAND
ON WHIDBEY ISLAND, WA
ON WHIDBEY ISLAND, WA
It has been our shop’s tradition to close after Christmas and through the month of January for our winter break. Unfortunately, just as this year’s break was kicking off, Catherine began to suffer from debilitating nerve pain due to osteoarthritis.
The following four weeks brought unrelenting pain in her neck and down her arm which immobilized her and prevented her from doing anything she’d planned to do on her much needed break. And there were many plans.
We’re glad to report that for the moment the pain is reduced and for the most part Catherine has been able to rejoin the world. However, the nature of her condition and the job of picture framing are very much at odds. Returning to work at this stage could very well bring the problem back and we are unwilling to let that happen.
In order to give her body and mind a chance to heal and live a little we’ve decided to extend our break this year through March. We love our job and our customers, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out to us in this difficult time. We’re so grateful to live in this caring community.
We’ll be contacting customers with projects in the shop, and we will return your call if you leave a message. In the meantime we are happy to refer folks to Windjammer Custom Framing in Coupeville on Front Street and at (360) 678-9200. Brandy is talented and qualified, and we recommend her without reservation.
Thank you for your business and understanding; we will see you when we return!
